Location

Sofia Street

Year

2023-2024

Project Concept

The house, built in 1937, has undergone multiple modifications, each contributing to a continuous and changing architectural identity. The proposed interventions enhanced the values of this layered history and spatial finesse, allocating coexisting spaces for community activity.

The “Patch House” concept explores the idea of adaptability and overlapping, preserving traces of the past while simultaneously offering a contemporary feel. The house is transformed into a space dedicated to design and fashion, where each level serves a specific function – from work areas to socialization spaces.

The Architectural Intervention

The original identity of the house, up to the upper floors, is redefined through a contemporary aesthetic.

The architectural interventions harmonize circulation, eliminating abusive structures, and fostering connections between spaces. Thus, the architecture not only responds to user needs but also transforms the house into a creative ecosystem. The project proposes the conversion of the historic Tudor-style residence into a fashion showroom, preserving its heritage value while adapting the space for contemporary functions.
